On September 25, in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated and delivered remarks at the High-level side event entitled “Building on the Foundations: Securing the Future of the Open Internet”. The event was organized by Estonia and the Freedom Online Coalition.

The Deputy Foreign Minister touched upon the misuse of digital technologies in the current context of crises and conflicts, as well as the resulting violations of international law.

Robert Abisoghomonyan emphasized the importance of innovative solutions and international initiatives, including the Freedom Online Coalition, in addressing the emerging challenges stemming from the spread of digital technologies and in advancing the establishment of rules-based digital architecture and a secure and healthy digital environment.

The Deputy Foreign Minister reiterated the commitment of Armenia to ensuring international cooperation aimed at advancing human rights and cybersecurity in the digital environment.
