With around 3,000 participants, more than 30 interactive classes, and 5 concluding concerts, the first stage of the “Symphonic Das A” educational program has successfully concluded in Gyumri. The second stage, featuring a refreshed lineup of interactive classes, is set to launch in October.
Implemented by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and supported by the Manoogian Simone Foundation, the “Symphonic Das A” program wrapped up its first phase of interactive sessions in Gyumri. In September, over 3,000 students from 8 high schools in Gyumri took part in the program. Through meetings with musicians, local teens were introduced to classical music, the structure of a symphony orchestra, and various musical instruments. They also engaged in interactive games and had hands-on experiences playing instruments. The musician-instructors familiarized students with the role of the conductor. Besides that, participants had the unique opportunity to enjoy live performances of excerpts from well-known classical compositions right in their schools.
Thanks to a new partnership launched this year with the Visual Armenia Development Foundation, students from Gyumri’s high schools were able to access the interactive content of “Symphonic Das A” via the innovative educational platform Brainograph (website: brainograph.com).The platform hosts a rich and dynamic array of materials designed to inspire continuous engagement with the world of classical music tailored specifically for Symphonic Das A program in Gyumri, helping to make it an integral part of the new generation’s lives.
On October 9, the second phase of the program was launched, featuring new and enriched content for the interactive lessons.
