The Party of European Socialists’s Congress 2025 has passed a resolution containing a segment which reaffirms its support for the EU Civilian Mission in Armenia and issues specific demands, calling on Azerbaijan to release all Armenian hostages, guarantee the safe and unimpeded return of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh under international monitoring, and the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage under threat of destruction. The resolution also backs the democratic opposition in Azerbaijan and stresses the need to monitor democratic developments in Armenia.
