During today’s hearing, Ruben Vardanyan requested a private meeting with his lawyer, Avraam Berman, which the court allowed. After the recess, Vardanyan filed a motion to dismiss Berman, citing general dissatisfaction with the proceedings.
The Prosecutor’s office noted that while Vardanyan had the right to dismiss his lawyer, he could not proceed without legal representation and would need another lawyer, either privately hired or state-appointed. Vardanyan agreed to a state-appointed lawyer, as he had not retained another. The ‘trial’ will continue on October 28.
