During the meeting, Ambassador Mkrtchyan provided an overview of recent political, security, and regional developments affecting Armenia, including ongoing challenges facing the country and its democratic institutions. The discussion also addressed Armenia’s evolving foreign policy environment and the broader geopolitical dynamics shaping the South Caucasus.

The meeting further included an exchange of views on the current state and future trajectory of U.S.–Armenia relations, emphasizing the importance of sustained congressional engagement, principled U.S. policy, and continued cooperation between the Armenian government and the Armenian American community.

Koushakjian reaffirmed ACA’s commitment to advocating for policies that strengthen Armenia’s sovereignty, security, and democratic resilience, while ensuring that Armenian American perspectives remain well represented in Washington.
