Zareh Sinanyan welcomed Monica Sandri and highlighted the importance of UNHCR’s work in Armenia, emphasizing the need to strengthen and deepen cooperation

On January 8, Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, received Monica Sandri, the representative of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Armenia.

Zareh Sinanyan welcomed Monica Sandri and highlighted the importance of UNHCR’s work in Armenia, emphasizing the need to strengthen and deepen cooperation.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner presented the Office’s priorities and programs, in particular initiatives and measures aimed at promoting repatriation.
Monica Sandri expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed UNHCR’s commitment to continuing close cooperation with the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.
Both sides highly valued the strong and effective collaboration between Armenia and UNHCR and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
