January 15,2026 13:00

On 13–14 January, the European Union–funded project “Building Sustainable Agribusiness and Apparel Value Chains in Armenia”, implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC), supported the validation of the Guide for the Export of Fish and Fishery Products from Armenia to the European Union.

On 13 January, a validation workshop was held with public institutions, focusing on procedural aspects, regulatory roles, and implementation of EU requirements by competent authorities.

On 14 January, a separate session was organised with business operators, including fish farms and processing companies, to validate the practical guidance on compliance with EU food safety, veterinary, and export procedures.

The Guide is designed to:
– support public authorities in applying EU-aligned, risk-based controls; and
– help Armenian businesses navigate EU requirements and prepare for export to the EU market.
This initiative is a significant step forward in the EU–Armenia partnership, reflecting the European Union’s continued commitment, under the EU–Armenia Partnership Agenda, to advancing Armenia’s economic development, trade diversification, and integration into EU markets.
