The Commissioner of Human Rights concluded his three-day mission to Armenia. The meetings were productive and included a constructive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, insightful exchanges with NGOs on women rights, anti-discrimination and displaced Armenians, as well as a valuable discussion with the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan.
Day 2 included an inspiring and moving visit to a shelter for women survivors of domestic violence, in-depth discussions with the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Chair of the Cassation Court, the UN Resident Coordinator, UNFPA and UNHCR representatives, and the EU Ambassador.
Day 3 consisted of insightful meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, National Assembly’s Committee on Human Rights and Armenian delegation to PACE.
