YEREVAN, ARMENIA – February, 10, 2026 – During a historic visit to Armenia by U.S. Vice President JD Vance, YouTube today announced the launch of its Partner Program (YPP), set to go live this spring. The expansion will enable Armenian creators to earn money on the platform, build their own businesses, and reach new audiences.
The YouTube Partner Program is how creators, artists, and media companies earn money on the platform. Globally, more than 3 million creators are part of YPP, and over the past four years, YouTube has paid out over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies. The company’s revenue-sharing model is built on a simple idea: YouTube only succeeds when its creators do.
“Today marks an important step forward for Armenia’s creative and digital economy. We welcome YouTube’s decision to introduce the YouTube Partner Program for Armenian content creators – a long-awaited change that unlocks opportunities for monetization, empowers local voices, and supports a new generation of digital entrepreneurs. This development will help Armenian creators turn their passion into sustainable work, showcase Armenia’s creativity globally, and strengthen our position in the international digital landscape. We look forward to continued cooperation with YouTube and other platforms to ensure that Armenia’s talent is fully recognized, rewarded, and connected to the world.” – Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry, Republic of Armenia
“This achievement is the result of consistent, technical, and diplomatic work carried out with our international partners and YouTube’s regional teams. From the very beginning, our priority was to ensure that Armenian creators receive equal access to global digital platforms.
I would like to thank all involved partners and institutions for their constructive cooperation, which made it possible to turn a long-standing issue into a concrete outcome for Armenia’s creative community.” – Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Republic of Armenia
