Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) is pleased to announce its official membership in the Canada–Eurasia Chamber of Trade and Commerce (CECTE), marking an important step in strengthening international cooperation and expanding engagement with Canadian and Eurasian business communities.
At an official ceremony held on 26 February, CECTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association (AMMA) and welcomed ZCMC as a new member of the Chamber.
The Chairman of AMMA and First Deputy General Director of ZCMC, Vardan Jhanyan, welcomed the move, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation aimed at enhancing and adopting best practices.

“Canada is a leading mining destination and is at the forefront of industry modernization and the implementation of best practices. We see significant potential in this cooperation for the Armenian mining sector, particularly in adopting and learning from Canadian experience in transforming mineral wealth into sustainable and well-managed business assets for the benefit of the people,” Mr. Jhanyan stated.
Welcoming ZCMC to the Chamber, the Chairman of CECTE, Dr. Vardges Avagyan, said:
“With the accession of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC to our Chamber, and the launch of our partnership with the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association, we are opening a new chapter in Armenian–Canadian business cooperation. Mining and metallurgy is one of the key sectors for our Chamber, and by combining Canada’s extensive experience with Armenia’s considerable potential, we can achieve significant new milestones together. We remain committed to strengthening and expanding opportunities for future collaboration.”
Through this membership, ZCMC aims to actively participate in CECTE-led initiatives, business forums, and networking platforms, contributing to dialogue on responsible resource development, innovation, and investment opportunities. The collaboration also supports broader efforts to enhance Armenia’s visibility within global mining and business networks.
