Following the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against #Iran, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation this afternoon with Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of #Russia. During the call, Araghchi briefed Lavrov on the latest developments and emphasized the importance of decisive action by the international community—particularly the United Nations Security Council—to halt aggressive acts and hold the perpetrators accountable.
Referring to the attacks on various Iranian cities, including this morning’s missile strike on a school in Minab that martyred at least 51 innocent schoolgirls, the Foreign Minister described the military aggression as a flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and a clear crime against international peace and security. He also reaffirmed Iran’s inherent right to defend the country with full capabilities.
For his part, the Russian Foreign Minister condemned the aggressive attacks against Iran and expressed support for the immediate convening of a UN Security Council session to address the situation.
