The Government of the Republic of Armenia has nominated Srbuhi Hakobyan for the position of a member of the first composition of the Information Systems Regulatory Commission for a three-year term. The issue was debated at the regular sitting of the National Assembly on March 26.
The candidate’s biography and professional activity were presented by the Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
Candidate Srbuhi Hakobyan presented her vision of the activities of the information systems regulatory body, detailing the key steps to be taken in this area. According to the candidate, the information systems regulatory body should ensure the adoption of the necessary flexible and favorable regulations, work towards ensuring that every member of the public prefers to use the digital services provided by the state. According to Srbuhi Hakobyan, these services should be convenient and time-saving for both citizens and state bodies. The candidate added that the newly created body should create favorable conditions for the public to acquire the skills necessary to be a citizen and a digital worker in the digital era. She spoke about the reasons for not implementing revolutionary changes in the field of digitalization, emphasizing the importance of data-driven and people-centered services, the construction of an effective digital architecture, and the recent provision of a favorable legislative environment. Reference was made to the work aimed at forming a unified digital architecture, and the strategic importance of education in the context of digitalization.

During the NA sitting, the Chair of the NA Counting Commission Narek Babayan stated that the Government of the Republic of Armenia nominated Nerses Yeritsyan for the position of Chairman of the Information Systems Regulatory Commission.
Out of 107 NA deputies, 62 participated in the vote. There were 62 ballots in the ballot box, and there were no invalid ballots. 62 deputies voted in favor of Nerses Yeritsyan’s candidacy.
Nerses Yeritsyan was elected as a Chairman of the Information Systems Regulatory Commission.

The Government nominated Nairi Adamyan for the position of a member of the Information Systems Regulatory Commission. Out of 107 NA deputies, 62 participated in the voting. There were 62 ballots in the ballot box, and there were no invalid ballots.
Nerses Yeritsyan was elected as a member of the Information Systems Regulatory Commission. He will hold office for four years.
Secret ballots took place on March 26.
