Sargis Khandanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the RA National Assembly, was appointed by the OSCE Chairman-in-office as the Head of the International Observation Mission for the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held in Hungary. Sargis Khandanyan, as Special Coordinator and Head of the mission, will coordinate the work of the short-term observation missions of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the PACE, and the OSCE/ODIHR.
During his working visit to the capital of Hungary on March 24-26, Sargis Khandanyan had meetings with the state institutions involved in the electoral process in Hungary, the political parties participating in the elections, the representatives of the Hungarian Parliament and Government, the representatives of the civil society and media, as well as the OSCE/ODIHR team conducting a long-term observation mission.
During the meetings, Sargis Khandanyan got acquainted with the preparatory work regarding the elections and the campaign process.
The parliamentary elections in Hungary will be held on April 12.
