The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, continues his working visit to France.
On April 23, Zareh Sinanyan visited the Armenian Sports Center in Jœuf, where he met with the Center’s leadership, Armen Yepremyan and Edyard Balayan, as well as its young members.
During the visit, the High Commissioner toured the Center, learned more about its activities, and expressed his appreciation to both the leadership and the students for their dedication and ongoing efforts. He highlighted the vital role such institutions play in the Diaspora in preserving Armenian identity, fostering youth engagement, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
On the same day, the High Commissioner also met with representatives of the Armenian community of Jœuf.
During the meeting, the activities of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, its ongoing initiatives, and upcoming programs were presented, all aimed at strengthening Armenia–Diaspora ties and expanding opportunities for cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, during which community representatives raised a number of questions related to repatriation opportunities, youth engagement, educational and cultural programs, as well as the development of economic cooperation.
The High Commissioner addressed the questions raised, highlighting the importance of continuous Armenia-Diaspora dialogue, mutual trust, and joint initiatives. He noted that one of the Office’s key priorities is to ensure more effective and dynamic engagement with Diaspora communities.
Later that evening, the High Commissioner attended a cultural event at the Jœuf Youth and Cultural Center (MJC), organized by the “Diaspora arménienne du Grand Est” association.
As part of the event, the High Commissioner presented certificates of appreciation to several members of the community in recognition of their dedicated work, outstanding achievements, significant contribution to the preservation of Armenian identity, and their ongoing commitment to the development of community life.
