The working visit of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, to the United States continues.
As part of the visit, Zareh Sinanyan met with members of the executive body of the Ramgavar Azatakan Party at the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles, followed by a meeting with Armen Karaoghlanian, co-founder of the Armenian Film Society.
During the meeting with the leadership of the Ramgavar Azatakan Party, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the development and strengthening of Armenia–Diaspora cooperation. Zareh Sinanyan emphasized the importance of reinforcing a state-centered mindset within the Diaspora and presented the Office’s ongoing programs and initiatives aimed at expanding purposeful dialogue and effective collaboration.
The High Commissioner also highly valued the activities of the Ramgavar Azatakan Party and the organization’s continued engagement in both Armenia-focused and pan-Armenian initiatives.
During the meeting with Armen Karaoghlanian, discussions focused on the development of Armenian cinema, the preservation of cultural heritage, and increasing the international visibility of Armenian filmmaking. The parties also addressed opportunities to expand festival cooperation, unite the potential of Diaspora Armenian creators, strengthen Armenia–Diaspora cultural ties, and implement joint initiatives.
