President of Jingse International Culture and Education, founder of the Beijing International Music & Art Base (ICMA) and YUAN String Studio, Yuan Yuan has been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia. The award was presented in recognition of her contribution to the development of music, the strengthening of international partnerships, and within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. The medal was awarded by Minister Zhanna Andreasyan.
Yuan Yuan’s work brings together Eastern and Western musical traditions, creating new platforms for cultural dialogue. Her initiatives are aimed at expanding educational opportunities for young musicians, promoting creative exchange, and preserving cultural heritage.
A key focus of her activity is the promotion of Armenian musical culture in China. Through her initiative, the International Khachaturian Competition was held for the first time in China in 2023, followed by the International Khachaturian Youth Competition in 2024, which has become an important platform for young musicians worldwide.
Yuan Yuan has also played an important role in expanding the international activities of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. With her support, the orchestra has performed in China, contributing to the recognition of Armenian classical music and the deepening of Armenian–Chinese cultural cooperation.
