RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan received Valerii Lobach, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Ukraine to the Republic of Armenia, on May 19.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore Armenia’s unique experience in engaging with its diaspora, as well as to discuss opportunities for applying successful practices in Ukraine.
Valerii Lobach noted that he had reviewed the Office’s activity reports from recent years and highly appreciated the programs and initiatives being implemented, emphasizing their scale, effectiveness, and significance. In turn, the High Commissioner presented in detail the key initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with Armenian communities worldwide, as well as programs in the fields of repatriation and integration.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize consultative online meetings to provide the Ukrainian side with a more comprehensive understanding of the practices and experience of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the Repatriation and Integration Center.
The parties also discussed a number of other issues of mutual interest.
