A group of Diaspora Armenian figures were awarded high state honors

On May 28, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan attended the solemn award ceremony held at the Presidential Residence on the occasion of Republic Day.

During the ceremony, by decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia, a group of citizens were awarded high state honors on the occasion of Republic Day, including diaspora Armenian figures: Karen Khurshudyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khachatur Abovian School affiliated with the Holy Translators Mother Church in Marseille, and Hrachya Boyajyan, representative of the Armenian minority to the Joint Commission of the Government of the Republic of Poland and National and Ethnic Minorities, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Poland, Chairman of the Board of the Sadok Barącz Research Center for the History of Polish Armenians operating at Jagiellonian University since 2026, and President of the Armenian-Polish Public Committee.

The President of the Republic awarded them the Medal of Gratitude.

Among those present at the ceremony were Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, high-ranking officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and guests.

Welcoming the attendees, President Khachaturyan congratulated them on the occasion of Republic Day, highly commending the contributions and service of the award recipients to the development of the homeland.
