Narek Mkrtchyan presented to GlobalFoundries and Texas Instruments the potential of Armenia’s semiconductor ecosystem
Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan held meetings with representatives of U.S. companies operating in the technology and semiconductor sector, GlobalFoundries and Texas Instruments.
From GlobalFoundries, the meeting was attended by Vice President for Global Government Affairs Matt Krupnick and Deputy Director of Global Public Policy Kate Liao, while Texas Instruments was represented by Worldwide Head of Government Relations Steve Bonner.
The Ambassador presented the potential of Armenia’s semiconductor ecosystem, as well as the Government’s initiatives and support programs aimed at the development of the high-tech industry, emphasizing the sector’s competitiveness and the favorable opportunities available for expanding international technological cooperation.
The parties also exchanged views on the possible presence of the companies in Armenia, investment opportunities, as well as the development of institutional frameworks for future cooperation, including the possibility of drafting relevant memoranda of understanding.
