Day 10 of Johnny Mouradian’s Biblical road trip continued at the open-air workshop in Zovuni, where coach Johnny Mouradian visited the monument of Jesus. The statue will eventually be placed on mount Hatis.
While in America, coach Johnny learned that a statue of Jesus was being built in Armenia and that it was planned to be the largest statue of Jesus in the world. He decided that visiting the monument should be included in his 12-day Biblical road trip through Armenia.

“I didn’t know much about it, but I was intrigued that they are building this sculpture of Jesus. I think that’s a good idea. From Canada and America, I had heard that they were building this sculpture, so I thought it would be very interesting to visit it. It is very interesting that someone wanted to build a statue of Jesus that people all over the world will see”,- said Johnny Mouradian, co-founder of the Armenian Lacrosse Federation in an interview with Aravot.am.
As always, the visit was accompanied by a Bible reading. The reading was from Luke 1:39: “At that time, Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed, ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!’”
During his 12-day visit, coach Johnny has also been sharing a simple message: “Bring a friend, bring a family member to church”. He encourages Armenians from all over the world not only to attend church themselves, but also to invite a friend, family member, or someone who may be searching for faith and community.
