On August 24, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan met with Ramgavar Democratic Liberal Party Co-Chair Iskandar Garadanian and members of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board of the Grtasirats Sarkis Chemberdjian Secondary School in Aleppo: Raffi Zitjian, Gevorg Baghdoyan, Harout Vartanian, and Krikor Khachfajian.
The meeting focused on the current situation of the Armenian community in Aleppo, challenges facing the education sector, as well as teacher training and the development of educational programs.
Zareh Sinanyan highlighted the importance of ensuring the continued operation of Armenian educational institutions in the Diaspora and preserving community capacity. He also invited the guests to participate in the Global Armenian Summit 2026, which will take place in Yerevan in November 2026.
