Ambassador Vassilis Maragos opened the Armenia-Türkiye Business Conference in Yerevan today, congratulating the participants on an important step towards closer economic cooperation between the two neighbouring business communities.
Around 200 entrepreneurs from Armenia and Türkiye take part in the two-day event, in sectors ranging from IT and tourism to construction, food production and transport. In his remarks, the Ambassador underlined the EU’s continued support to Armenia’s trade diversification efforts, noting how such events can open up new opportunities for businesses on both sides and stressing the importance of such initiatives.
The conference is organised by UMBA and the Eurasia Partnership Foundation Armenia together with the Hrant Dink Foundation and TEPAV, under the EU-funded programme “Support to Armenia-Türkiye Normalization: Enhancing Cross-border Linkages”.
