Naregatsi Art Institute hosted the annual festive event “Your Culture Connection” on the anniversary of the Union.
For 22 years, with great responsibility, the Naregatsi Art Institute is dedicated to fostering the growth and preservation of Armenian culture, a rich heritage that has flourished for thousands of years. The Union continues its honorable mission of promoting the sustainable development of the Armenian cultural heritage through diverse cultural events and projects.
This year, the festive event “Your Culture Connection” is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Daniel Yerazhisht, artistic advisor to the Naregatsi Art Institute, violinist, conductor, musicologist, and the RA Honored Artist.
At the event, the Maestro’s archive photos from his student years to the present day were displayed in the NAI exhibition hall.
The evening featured the Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble (Artistic Director: Helbert Asatryan), soloists: Knar Hartounian (vocal), Nova Hartounian (shvi); Geghard Vocal Ensemble (Artistic Director: Mher Navoyan, Conductor: Anahit Papayan); Naregatsi Orchestra (Artistic Director: the RA Honored artist, tar player Artem Khachatur), soloists: Arman Araqelyan, Smbat Khalatyan, Arman Grigoryan.
The event was hosted by actors of the G. Sundukyan National Academic Theater, the RA Honored Artist Samvel Baghinyan and Ruzanna Hakhnazaryan.
A great surprise was for everyone and especially for Maestro himself the performance of the “Anthem” by the Naregatsi Orchestra, featuring music by the great Aram Khachaturian and lyrics by Daniel Yerazhisht truly worthy of the music.
At that moment, the hall, packed with guests, became excited, the audience, as one, stood up. Some were even moved to tears, not hiding their emotions.
The Maestro thanked the performers, all the participants of the concert, the guests and the organisers of the event.
Nareg Hartounian, founder of the Naregatsi Art Institute, presenting souvenirs to Daniel Yerazhisht, in his closing speech called the Maestro his teacher and expressed the wish that his 100th anniversary would also be celebrated at the Naregatsi Art Institute.
