The
Minister of Defense Serge Sargsian declared yesterday.The chairman of the
national club of the press began his meeting with the following question: the
Minister of Defense speaks of the necessity of mutual concessions and painful
solutions, doesn’t he think that such declarations inflict a psychological defeat
on the people. Serge Sargsian didn’t agree that he had begun speaking about it
lately. "I have spoken about mutual concessions from the beginning. I was
sure in it, I’m sure and I’ll be sure in the future. I don’t see another way of
solution."But he also mentioned that "They tried to perform a performance
in Armenia" during parliamentary hearings. There were customers and performers
the order. The aim of the performance was to produce us as people deflected from
the principle." He mentioned among performers of the order some journalists
and people who filled posts in the past but were dismissed for their professional
useless and now pretend themselves us democrats, reformers, powerful persons."
Serge Sargsian mentioned about the customers that "they want to distort his
sayings adding some thoughts, words for political proposes." Being unable
to oppose they apply to personal offences. The Minister of Defense stressed that
a lot of accusers had left Armenia during the Karabakh war then made excuses as
if they had been in abroad for an important mission. "Aravot" was interested

the way Serge Sargsian denied to the mentioning about 8 thousands km2 of Karabakh
produced by the authority of Karabakh to the Security Council of Armenia in February
1998: "There has never been any conversation about 8 thousands km2 of Karabakh.
Those conversations are fallen to the press by persons who intend to direct the

The journalists reminded that the Minister of Defense declared during the hearings
that the distance of Armenian-Azerbaijani positions had reached to 30-35 meters
in some ports and were interested whether there were any change. It was found
out that there wasn’t. Serge Sargsian was sure that all those including the militant
announcements wouldn’t turn to military activities: "I don’t think that breaking
out of the war is possible in the near future. But I have always said and now
also repeat that the Minister of Defense must always consider that a war can be
