– Does the text published in “Golos Armenii” newspaper reflect your and the British diplomat’s conversation? Has such a conversation been held?
– Frankly speaking, I, as well as any other politician, have met with diplomatic representatives of different countries, representatives of international and monitoring organizations during the latest months, where I have discussed problems about the upcoming elections. I have said the same during my meetings and public speeches: the elections mustn’t be rigged, the international community must also be careful to hold fair elections. And more, I have even declared about it when I was holding the post of NA chairman, and the press has written about it. As regards that conversation, it is strange that a record made in February is alluded and is spread two weeks before the elections. The purpose is obvious: black PR, as several people are anxious about OEP’s growing rating. I’m a politician who acts openly, so it’s clear that the representing “sensation” is invented very skillfully as it’s possible to make any audio or video assemblage from different speeches, for instance, to represent the interrogative question as an order. Besides, all these are showed on different TV Companies, even on Public TV, even is broadcasted by news for about 10 minutes. The right of heterodoxy is much more important than its content but when a black PR is demonstrated so emphasized, this is inadmissible.
– How do you mark the phenomenon of interception of the politicians and diplomats and publishing it the witnesses of which we became during this race?
– Of course, negative. RA Constitution forbids the interception of any person, including politicians and diplomats. Your newspaper has also published for many times that today the NSS officials intercept periodically. But it remained without any reply while the civilized world would reply immediately. I can say that this isn’t honorable for our country, and these methods are already condemned. And more, a lot of people are angry about it saying that the purposes of black PR are very obvious for them. “Rule of Law” Party will struggle for the country of law and justice, as almost everybody, the teacher and doctor, state official and scientist, youth and pensioners, soldiers and invalids, various strata of society, need in law and justice in nowadays Armenia.
