June 06,2012 12:42

Susi Kentikian, boxing in the featherweight who suffered the first defeat in her career on May 16 in Frankfurt, losing three champion belts (WBA/WIBF/WBO) to American Melissa McMorrow, is preparing for the rematch.

Armenian mass media wrote after the match that Susi lost only two belts, probably meaning that the American had been really given two belts in the ring. However, www.aravot.am found out from a conversation with Kentikian’s relatives that her information was more accurate – just being sure of her victory, Susi brought only two belts to the Brandenburg Halle and the third one was taken later from the house.

Now Susi Kentikian is going to return the belts in the rematch to take place in September. There is such an article in the contract signed between her and the rival’s teams. Moreover, the Armenian boxer is to choose the place of the rematch. Nonetheless, why did Kentikian lose to a not so famous rival? Mass media wrote that she had been poisoned before the match. Susi confirmed that during a conversation with her relatives after the match and added that she had had a severe headache when she had entered the hall and she had felt as if the hall was going to fall on her head. Some think that it was a deliberate poisoning.

However, a fact told by the relatives is more interesting. In their words, one of the people sitting behind the ringside judges told afterwards that he had heard their conversation. One of the judges wanted to record 95:95, but the other judge convinced him to give victory to the American on points.
