“Robert Kocharyan’s political and propaganda assets are destroyed.” Davit Shahnazaryan

March 04,2015 15:37

Vachagan Farmanyan, the father of one of the March 1 victims, Armen Farmanyan, said that those who have detached from the ANC have forgotten the March 1 issue, they do not know the place of their son’s grave, do not visit it and so on. In the conversation with Aravot.am, in response to our question of whether they are making such a statement from political motives, the head of “Concord” Center, also the former Head of the National Security Service of Armenia Davit Shahnazaryan replied, “I understand the relatives of the March 1 victims. It is the task of the whole society, it is our duty rather than a political party and a political force. Many people would try to manipulate it.”

Davit Shahnazaryan clearly mentioned that the number one responsible and the key architect for March 1 is Robert Kocharyan. While, yesterday, during the ANC rally convened for March 1, the responsible for March 1 was pronounced only Serzh Sargsyan’s name. To our question of who he comments the fact that in the meantime an attempt is regularly made to so-called “clean” Robert Kocharyan or not to give his name associated with March 1 events, Davit Shahnazaryan replied, “They were attempts. It was a very clear policy was implemented by some forces. Over the past 4 years, degeneration of Armenia’s political arena was also organized with the purpose to bring Robert Kocharyan back to power. I think and hope that it is over now. If not completely, then mostly Robert Kocharyan’s political and propaganda assets are destroyed. Basically, an attempt of state coup was planned in Armenia by these forces under the shield of the so-called politically activity. Of course, a clear policy was carried out for number one guilty, Robert Kocharyan, to come off clear. But it did not work out.”
