Stupidity to last 27 centuries

April 29,2015 11:24

“Let both the householders and the mendicants think that this is done by me. Let them always ask me what should be done and what should not be done.” Such is the wish of the fool.” This is written in the section of “DHAMMAPADA” from the “SUTTA PITAKA” in early Buddhism (7-6 centuries BC). As you can see, the essence of human stupidity lasting 27 centuries remains the same, the more people be depend on me, the stronger I am, accordingly, happy.

From pre-school children playing in the sand up to the Parliamentarians, from the family relationships up to the company staff – everywhere stupid people are spending their entire energy on the other side be dependent on them, and thus they allegedly become independent. But in the case of the master and the servant, both are dependent on their unnatural and surficial “role distribution.”

People are suffering and dying from the longing of ruling and “gaining the upper hand” over each other, by wasting their precious time on useless struggle instead of enjoying the life. When a person does not find reasons to love himself, he tends letting the dependent ones “make a declaration of love”. This is, in my opinion, the meaning of the struggle for the government. Rather than the money, it is a derivative, so to speak, a dessert.

No, I indeed do not mind the political struggle, let the politicians do their job, the development of the modern state is impossible without it. Those who want to rule and keep people dependent, naturally, should tell a variety of words addressed to one another. And we should assess from the side as to who more successfully “pokes” the other.

All of this is normal. But taking those words excessively serious and being guided by them if there is no interest to rule, it seems to me, is not reasonable either. Because, thus, you lose the taste for the life. Did spring come? It is bad. Did Spivakov play? Did Tankian sing? It is bad. Will the victory in the Great Patriotic War be marked? It is not our victory. Such an approach, in my opinion, is a way to artificially limit the human mind. It is a unique way of falling into the dependence.
