The word is weapon

June 06,2016 13:12

In the Armenian Facebook, I often meet citations from Aliyev, Novruz Mammadov, Haqqin.az, etc. and the comments of Armenian users underneath, “Well, people are right saying.”

I do not think that these users have a great sympathy towards the Azeri functionaries, and are just repeating their campaign theses to give satisfaction to their own “opposition feelings.” If, for example, Novruz Mammadov says that Azerbaijan has occupied half of the Artsakh, this type of Armenians would “share” it on his wall and will shout, “Hey, look, how our government authorities are cheating the people.” Or, if Haqqin.az writes that people in the streets of Yerevan faint from hunger, our fellow citizens will consider this source very reliable, especially if you have not been in Yerevan for 20 years and have a complex of “former spouse,” “What a good that I divorced, he/she is a disaster without me.”

Azerbaijan goals (at least for me) are clear. Tactically, they are getting ready for a new war, strategically, their goal is to see no Armenian not only in Artsakh but not in this entire region. Their word is the weapon, contributing to these problems. What Azerbaijani campaign says has three objectives: 1/ to “give heart” to their own people, 2/ to cheat the international community, 3/ to intimidate us. The sources that the aforementioned users trust do not have any other goal. Next time, prior to citing these sources happily (or allegedly, “compassionately”), please take it into account.
There are many occasion in our reality to satisfy the “opposition feelings”, without the Azerbaijani campaign. Alas.
