On the proposal of human rights activists
As we have already reported the “Initiative of the Four”, human rights activists: Avetik Ishkhanyan, Zaruhi Hovhannisyan, Stepan Danielyan and Artur Sakunts, today, had invited a debate aiming to find ways out from the created explosive situation. The human rights activists recommend first of all to establish an atmosphere of trust and then implement a short-term project.
These are the steps: release of political prisoners and all the detainees since July 17; impartial investigation of the circumstances of the murder of the police colonel; government change and the formation of an interim government; resignation of the NSS chief and police chief; restructuring of NSS and SRS to ministries; the adoption of new Electoral Code, liquidation of the CEC and formation with trust-building staff and so on.
To the question of Aravot.am that during these days, this or similar sequence of steps were repeatedly suggested by various politicians but life showed that the government does not take these steps, Stepan Danielyan said that this time, Serzh Sargsyan seems not to have any alternative and has to go for these steps.
