On the night of September 2-3 the adversary violated the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan for 30 times, firing more than 600 shots toward the Armenian positions from weapons of different positions.
Karabakh Defense Army serviceman, Arayik Samvel Ordubekyan, 1997, received a fatal gunshot wound on September 2, at around 23:30, on the combat position of a military unit in the southern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, as a result of Azerbaijani shooting.
According to the source, an investigation is underway to look into the circumstances. NKR Defense Army shares the grief of the irreparable loss and conveys its support to the soldier’s family, relatives and fellow soldiers,” reads the statement.
NKR Defense Ministry next states that the Azerbaijani side will bear the full responsibility for its offensive actions and any consequences of those actions.
