The Azerbaijani forces have violated the ceasefire regime along the southern (Hadrut), eastern (Martuni-Akna) and northeastern (Martakert) directions of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan 50 times on the night of December 27-27, firing over 900 shots toward the Armenian positions. As the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army reports, aside from weapons of different calibres, the adversary has used 60mm mortars (11 shells) in Martakert direction.
NKR Defense Army frontline units have resorted to proportionate response action mainly in the northeastern direction to suppress the adversary’s activeness and continued carrying out their combat duties along the entire Line of Contact.
The operative situation on the frontline is relatively calm as of Wednesday morning, reads the statement.
