Erdogan replaces Ataturk with Aivazovsky

February 02,2017 23:29

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan refused to take a portrait of Ataturk while moving to a new apartment.

Instead, works of the world famous marine painter of the Armenian origin Ivan Aivazovsky are on the walls of his room.

Several foreign delegations have already been accepted in the hall with paintings by Aivazovsky. Erdogan’s meeting with the UK Prime Minister Theresa May was not an exception.
