“ARF IS THE PAST PERFECT”

January 12,2008 00:00

ARF presidential candidate promises to reply to this observation as well.

Presidential candidate Vahan Hovannisyan continues meeting with the representatives of the community, and the latest meeting was with the physicians. In answer to “Aravot’s” question whether these meetings aren’t considered as infringement of the law since the official campaign will be launched only in 10 days. “Each meeting of each candidate may be considered as infringement of the law. The law doesn’t determine what is allowed to do and what is not during the pre electoral period. Finally, I have invited doctors familiar to me to wish them a Merry Christmas and  a Happy New Year.”

Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan said last year speaking about Vahan Hovannisyan’s announcement where he doesn’t believe in the results of “Gallup” Poll; “I am sure that he doesn’t believe in the poll results, otherwise he didn’t continue struggling or would slow down”.

In answer to this, the President’s ARF candidate said: “I am going to do what I consider right. On this occasion I need in neither advice nor interference. I respect all my competitors, and don’t advice them about their behavior. Regarding the Gallup results, though it is a respectful institute but I don’t trust in its Armenian “agents”.

One of the readers of “Hetq” Internet site, replying to the ARF observation that Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the past, Serge Sargsyan is the present, and we should elect the future- Vahan Hovannisyan, wrote that the “ARF candidate is not the future, he is the past perfect”. Though Vahan Hovannisyan didn’t know about that formulation but he promised: “I will publicly answer all questions, interpretations and standpoints addressed to me in the near future.”
