Today the trial on former chief of traffic police Margar Ohanyan will commence at the trial court of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan.
The trial hasn’t started yet, but one may say there is not an inch of more room in the courtroom. Harutyun Karagyozyan, the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP, by “Harut of Caramel” nickname wanted to enter the courtroom.
When chief bailiff Artur Pilosyan tried to clarify his identity, saying that there was no room in the courtroom at the moment and he should wait a bit, the MP got angry and said, “Hey, don’t you know me? I am an MP.” Pilosyan responded that “I enforce the law you, MPs, have adopted”, after which Karagyozyan cursed the court official carrying out his duty.

In response to a photojournalist’s question “dear MP, why do you curse?” the MP said, “I do what I want.” Then the photojournalist told the MP, “Anyway, don’t distort the tradition, you are not in the National Assembly, it is the place where people curse.”
Nonetheless, bailiffs saw the MP out of the court building.
