The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) old personnel will enter the parliament

February 03,2012 20:23

Republican MP Rafik Petrosyan assured during a conversation with Aravot.am that there was no “fight” between old and new Republicans for entering the parliament, “Let me say from the beginning that there is no such thing. At first, they spread the news that there are controversies among the coalition. It is information spread by an ill-wisher. There is no such thing, the Republican Party is more united than before and there are no controversies.”

He denied publications in press, according to which Galust Sahakyan and other politicians from among “old” Republicans will not appear in the new parliament, “There is no such thing. The party leadership has already stated that they will bring new people, but the old personnel, career MPs who are experienced will remain on the party list. I have refused announcing my candidacy for majoritarian representation, but the party governing body will decide whether I will be on the list or not.”
