A ruling on stopping the activities of a TV company has been made in Armenia.
The National Commission on TV and Radio (NCTR) filed a petition in the administrative court of the region of Vayots Dzor. The regional TV channel, ArpaInform LLC, had not broadcasted for 6 months.
The NCTR found that the TV and Radio Act was violated by that, therefore, it demanded that the court revoked the license of the TV channel.
The administrative court of the region of Vayots Dzor sustained the petition on February 6. The TV company’s license will be taken away, if the court decision comes into force in a month.
