We have already informed that today the trial court of the Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts made a decision to condemn the ANC activists to 2-6 years in prison. Stepan Voskanyan, the counselor of the activists, said that they would appeal the verdict to the court of appeals within the next 30 days.
“Law is worth nothing here, those who enforce the law are worth nothing too, the professional mechanism has not worked at all, it is ridiculous that they bring in such verdicts for this kind of cases. Such an attitude of the judge and the prosecutor shows that they are a
tool and they have proved today that they agree to be a tool,” Aram Manukyan, the leader of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (PANM) and an ANC MP, said after the court had brought in the verdict.

According to him, the court decision was political pressure on the opposition, “They show their teeth to the opposition, we, in turn, will bare our teeth. Tigran is a member of our party; we will apply to all international organizations, a member of which the ANC is, all political forces that are interested in not having political prisoners in Armenia will be involved in this cause. We will free our guys, but the tools that serve one person will be punished.”
After the trial had ended, the ANC supporters organized a protest outside the court. “There will be no justice in the republic, unless citizens of Armenia are not gathered in Freedom Square on the condition of not leaving, unless final justice is established,” Nikol Pashinyan, an ANC MP, added.
