As for the village headmen who had filed a petition to pardon Serob Ter-Poghosyan, the owner of the Akhtala mining combine, alleged to have committed child abuse, she said, “Those people have children and grandchildren, let them imagine that Serob Ter-Poghosyan could have done the same thing to their grandchild or child and then apply. If there is a law in our country that condemns that action, it is perceived as a crime and the court has made a decision, if after all that, it occurs to some people to support that child molester and rescue from punishment, I doubt that those people have a good value system.”
