The USG-supported renovation projects were implemented by International Relief and Development (IRD).
The pre-schools were constructed in the 1960s and required serious repairs. Over a three-month period, IRD implemented the two renovation projects with support from the U.S. Department of State. In parallel with the IRD project, the municipality started renovation of other parts of the preschool No.151.
The IRD projects ($15,000 each) addressed important humanitarian needs and improved food hygiene for 315 pre-school children. IRD also provided quilts and shoes to these children.
