“I stand by my words, it was really important for me. The Court of Appeals could have revised the verdict, at least taking into account the boys’ age and the fact that they hadn’t been convicted before,” Margarit Yesayan, a Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP and the deputy chairman of the human rights protection and public affairs committee of the National Assembly, said in response to a question of www.aravot.am. Let us remind that today the Court of Criminal Appeals presided by Judge Armen Danielyan kept unchanged the verdict against 4 Armenian National Congress activists. The session was boycotted by all 4 activists, as well as counselor Vahe Grigoryan. Shortly before that, Margarit Yesayan expressed an idea that the Court of Appeals ought to mitigate the verdict against 4 Armenian National Congress youths.
