You are struggling against the shadow economy, monopolies and intend to put an anti-monopoly package to a vote, expecting to get the support of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). However, we remember Rosa Tsarukyan’s famous interview about taxes and agility, “We are right, if we manage to do that, then we are right.” Doesn’t the ANC have serious contradictions with the PAP regarding this approach? In response to this question of www.aravot.am, Levon Zurabyan, the ANC coordinator, said today: “Listen, we have our
principles. If anyone has contradictions with our principles, let him/her have those.” In response to our question whether it doesn’t impede their joint work, they cooperated with the PAP that had an agile approach toward paying taxes, he said: “We clearly make public the whole content of our cooperation with any political force.”
In response to our question whether they were only interested in getting rid of the regime and didn’t care about what would happen afterwards, perhaps, it would be worse, Levon Zurabyan said: “Not only getting rid of the regime. For example, do you think restoring the opposition’s constitutional right in the Constitutional Court is a wrong goal? Is it an honorable goal? We cooperate with new political forces, we get their support to achieve that goal; do you see anything dishonorable here?” In response to our observation that we didn’t see anything dishonorable, but if they wanted to get rid of this government and after that the Deluge… because no one had any idea what would come next, he said: “But who said that we want the Deluge?” In response to our question whether they would change, would start paying taxes after that, Levon Zurabyan said: “We want to establish democracy.” As for whether it would be with the PAP, the ANC coordinator said: “It will happen with or without the PAP.”
