“The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) just made public its decision. I don’t see anything unusual in that. I think it is natural that we had to cooperate with any force,” Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, a member of the ANC and the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP), commented on today’s official statement of the PAP in this manner.
In response to our question whether this decision had been expectable for him, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan said after short hesitation: “As a matter of fact, it was. I wasn’t surprised. We live in such a country, everything is possible in our country, why should I be surprised?”
In response to our question whether the assumption that the PAP hadn’t separated from Serzh Sargsyan wasn’t confirmed by that, he said: “I don’t think so. At least people close to Serzh Sargsyan don’t speak well of the PAP. I don’t think that all that was done for Serzh Sargsyan.”
