“It is a bit hard to come out of the blue and say I will become president tomorrow. One becomes a president thanks to his team, the road he has travelled and not criticizing the government,” President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview given to Radio Liberty. www.aravot.am inquired of Andrias Ghukasyan, a candidate for president who criticizes the government, whether he attributed what the president had said to himself and whether he shared this opinion of the president.
“In my opinion, the president of a democratic country cannot use such phrases. There are no such conversations between politicians. A politician cannot say to his interlocutor, ‘Who are you?’ The question, ‘Who are you?’ is asked by the mobsters of Yerevan, ‘Whom do you know? Who knows you, man?’”
We inquired of him whether he had a political team and what public activity he had been engaged in, besides working in the dismantling brigade in Mashtots Park. Mr. Ghukasyan assured that soon his political team would be known to everyone.
