A woman from Baku says “Get out” to Raffi’s supporters
A short while ago, an incident happened in Freedom Square again. Approaching Raffi Hovhannisyan, a woman from Baku started to nervously shout, asking why he had come and sat down there, whether he wanted war. Members of the Heritage Party immediately started to call on those gathered not to be provoked into saying any offensive word to the woman. Hearing that the woman was from Baku, those present snapped, “That’s what you are, a Turk.” The woman started to offend those present, say obscene words to Armen Martirosyan who had interfered in the argument, and shout at Raffi Hovhannisyan’s supporters: “Get out, you sick idiot.” According to the woman, the election has already taken place, why do we need another election that Raffi Hovhannisyan demands? “Now we have a strong president.” The woman didn’t introduce herself, didn’t tell her name. She assured during a conversation with us that she had not been sent; she had come of her own free will. “I saw on TV that Raffi had sat down, was on a hunger strike. I have two sons, I have come from Baku, I don’t want my sons to go to war. For what? I have come to ask Raffi why he is sitting here. I don’t
even know Serzh to come at his instruction.” Today is already the 6th day of Raffi Hovhannisyan’s hunger strike. He approaches people again, smiles, kisses children on the forehead, assures people that one shouldn’t get discouraged, since the people are stronger than any government. It is interesting that the old man, a retired villager who had gone on a hunger strike yesterday, was not in Freedom Square anymore. The people gathered told us that the old man had a son serving in the army, had received threats, and had gone to 26 Baghramyan.
