Raffi Hovhannisyan stated in the Shant café, Ijevan, during a meeting with his fellow party members and supporters that the Ijevan town hall and the regional administration of Tavush hadn’t provided a hall for the meeting. The meeting took place in the café. He said that the period from February 18 through April 9 had been one stage, which had been selfless, national, and civic and added: “On April 9, the stage crystallized. Who came to the square to shed blood, be it a citizen or a representative of the government, from the seeming opposition or any other source, who wanted to see one hundred funerals in Armenia the next day didn’t see that, because we didn’t allow. Despite all our mistakes, we were right. I personally didn’t allow them, along with you, to take away our victory after we had won it and prevented one hundred funerals around Armenia and our blaming each other the next day. The stage crystallized in the sense that those who waited to exploit the people’s victory for their sinister goals, to present themselves as messiahs and Christs, it is their turn now.” R. Hovhannisyan stated that this government would not survive 5 years.
