I had referred a question to the Committee of Ministers regarding Tigran Arakelyan and the other 3 guys, which was titled “The political prisoners in Armenia.” It is an official document in the PACE. They, in fact, recognized the reality of political prisoners. A resolution on political prisoners containing 5 clauses was adopted, based on these criteria, I told that all the criteria are relevant to Tigran Arakelyan, why don’t you take action. This document states that all judicial procedures should be reviewed. They replied that they are already in the process of reviewing. This means that, in the context, they have admitted that the ANC activists, yes, are political prisoners, we still will not intervene until the process is completed.” According to assessment of Levon Surabyan, it’s already positive. “In other words, a specific mechanism is serving for Tigran Arakelyan to be released from prison as soon as possible.”
