On Saturday, 1in.am website published the letter of the former leader of the French diocese, Archbishop Zakarian Norvan addressed to the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II, Bishop, in which the Archbishop explains his resignation and accuses Catholicos that “you compress the dignity of a man under your feet.” In connection with this letter, Aravot asked for the director of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin information center, His Holiness Karekin II speaker Vahram Melikyan’s comment. Father Vahram answered briefly,- “We do not think appropriate to refer to the content of the resignation letter of the leader of the Armenian Diocese in France, Archbishop Zakarian Norvan. I would just note that the letter included incorrect information, and false and unacceptable attributions. In the next Supreme Spiritual Council, a decision will be achieved regarding the resignation letter.”
