Last month, on June 8, at the public hearing held in the Georgian village Teqali of Marneuli district, housewife Rena Talibov from the city of Marneuli was among the speakers. The Azeri woman announced that she was attending the meeting for the first time and making her speech in such a meeting. In particular, she said,- “A month ago, I was seeing my son off to the army, we were standing in the yard of the military commission office. We were looking around, there were many Azeri draftees and 4-5 Armenian draftees. There was an Armenian draftee, his father was seeing him off. I swear it was very miserable to look at him. I told my son. “Son, you are many, Armenians are few, I am asking you, if there is a problem, do not attack them. Because their mothers are also waiting for them, they also have sisters, families who are waiting for their return. Never attack, solve the conflict peacefully.” R. Talibova referred to the story of one of Georgian participants. Georgian participant said in his speech that he was a guest in a family in Yerevan, where the housewife had stated that Armenians and Azerbaijanis can not live on the same land. R. Talibova said on that occasion,- “This is how the mothers provoked a war, such mother should be hung, how can you tell your son that Armenians and Azerbaijanis can not live in the same place. We are living here in Marneuli together, don’t we … “. The director of “Caucasus Center of Peace Making Initiatives” Georgi Vanyan responding said that the woman should not be hung, such women are not guilty, they are victims of propaganda, after talking half an hour with the woman, she will change her mind.
