Samvel Aleksanyan. “We had not gone for revolution, we were sitting in the café and saw.”

November 11,2013 17:57

“I am expressing my thanks to “Pre-parliament” members for holding such a good campaign for “Yerevan City”. We have supposed to pay about 20 million drams to advertising, now we saved these 20 million drams and decided to give to students. They did hold an anti-campaign, they advertised us,” said RPA MP Samvel Aleksanyan at the National Assembly, during the conversation with the journalists. He offered the journalists to help them identify the best students to pay their tuition fees from the money saved. Alexanyan said that if they conduct campaigns every month, they will save money, which will be focused on financing the tuition fees of students.

To the question on how much he pays his supporters for the actions, Samvel Aleksanyan said, “I do not supports, my dear, it was organized by Surenyants, refer your questions to him.” He said that he does not give money to Suren Surenyants for campaigns, but “if he has a problem, I’m helping him, but I do not give him money just for campaigning.”

To other question whether it was not offensive to him that donkeys were brought to the action, he replied, “I have nothing to do with it, ask those in yellow caps. Our red caps would not do anything like that, our red caps would not treat with animals like that.” Samvel Aleksanyan urged to refer other questions to the owner of the market, noting that he was not in Armenia for the last days; he was in Dubai with Samvel Karapetyan and Gagik Tsarukyan, who joined them later.

The journalists also asked why Samvel Aleksanyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan, accompanied with their bodyguards, had gone to the protest organized by Shant Harutyunyan on November 5. “We did not gone for revolution, we were sitting at the café and saw,” said Aleksanyan.
